Both Glen Esk & it's parent company GM Belt Supplies Ltd supply
shops all over the uk with a wide range of belts and Scottish
highland dress supplies. Our quality products include highland dress
kilt belts, sgian dubh's, waist plates, sporran chains, kilt pins
and more.
GM Belt Supplies began trading business in 1992 supplying trouser
belts, jeans belts and braces to independent menswear shops in the
UK, By 1994 it was also supplying Co-Op stores and department stores
throughout the UK with belts & braces. In 1995 GM Belt Supplies
started to supply the highland wear shops in Scotland with Kilt
belts, since then it has become one of the largest suppliers of
highland dress, extending it's range from just kilt belts to sporran
chains, waist plates, kilt pins and sgian dubh's.
It is now one of the market leaders in highland dress with its
popular range of Celtic embossed kilt belts being almost unique in
the highland dress market. Most of GM Belt Supplies waist plates are
their own designs being made in the traditional stamped out method
and therefore are again unique to GM Belt Supplies.
With our menswear experience it enables us to co-ordinate our range
of matching belts and waist plates to include kilt pins & sgian
dubh's therefore enabling the highland wear shop to offer a unique
co-ordinated range of products.
GM Belt Supplies were the first in the highland wear market to
introduce new finishes to the traditional chrome waist plates with
finishes that now include antique silver, oxidised and light brass
relived finishes.
Following successful highland trade exhibitions GM Belt Supplies now
exports these products all over the world. GM Belt Supplies is also
a major supplier of various types of belts including Police belts,
fire service belts and Army belts in the UK and also to the overseas
military.
